I am considering cutting out the divider. To access the bottom you need to undo another zipper, and then fold the top out of the way, which is difficult if it is still loaded with tools.
It is big, and will hold all my Makita cordless tools nicely. This is a pretty good bag.
The top and the bottom are separate compartments. Pretty well made.
My only issue is the split design, which they don't really mention in the description. On the other hand, having one big compartment might make it difficult to get to tools on the bottom.
Overall a decent value for the money.
The interior pockets in the top compartment are not segmented, the pockets are the entire length of the bag, making the contents settle into a pile of hardware that takes a while to sort through and find what you need. I am a great Makita fan, and I have never had anything but praise for any product from them I've owned. This is actually not a BAD bag, the materials are top-notch. So you end up wearing a hole in it very shortly and either losing contents or damaging them. The bungee net on the front flap is useless, since if you tighten it to hold say, a book, the excess bungee just drags on the floor to get hung up on the wheels, stepped on, etc. Just has a couple of design quirks, like the handle doesn't lock in the extended position, making pushing the thing ahead of you a nearly impossible, frustrating experience, especially going down stairs.
So much for organization. Until now. I've even re-bought stuff that I already had cause I didn't find it the first time I looked. But that may just be my particular bag that is defective. There is a small zippered pocket that ends up on the bottom of the bag when you stand it up after rolling it out somewhere, and the material is not reinforced on the exterior. The shoulder strap is only there to get hung up on the wheels, take it off immediately.
Makes me wonder if anyone at Makita actually tried to use one of these before selling them.
This is a high quality bag with plenty of room for whatever. Wheels are a little small but they work good if youre not trying to race. No problems with zipper.
I'm a contractor and carry small items. This bag has strong zippers and is easy to maneuver and holds quite a bit.
This is a huge carrier, there are many pockets and the construction of the bag is great. It may be a little too heavy if you load it right up full for anyone to think about using a shoulder strap as attached but for a carry all for a project away from home or even for tradesman it is excellent value for the cost.
